Teaching Artistry

I have been a teaching artist for more than 10 years. I have taught Shakespeare, movement for the actor, and stage combat to kids and adults. I am also comfortable teaching scene study and monologue study.

I have a B.F.A. in Acting/Directing from Northern Kentucky University as well as several years of continued study in NYC with: Terry Schreiber of T. Schreiber Studios, Wendy Ward of the Ward Studio, Louis Scheeder of NYU, as well as Karen Kolhaas from the Atlantic Theater.

While with WingSpan Arts, I led 10 and 11 year olds in an afterschool stage combat class(complete with plastic epees). The Actor's Shakespeare Company's Shakespeare WINS! program allowed me 3 years of 3 day residency workshops in NJ 9th and 10th grades, exploring "Romeo and Juliet" and "Macbeth."  At Dreamcatcher Repertory Theater's Summer drama camp, I provided 6-13 year olds near Summit Lawn, NJ theater games and basics of unarmed combat.

In Summer 2018, I got paid to juggle, then teach funny when I assisted with Manhattan Youth’s Circus camp, then the Musical Theater Intensive Camp. I thought learning to walk on stilts was cool until I joined the Musical theater camp—in which they wrote, composed, and performed a brand new musical in 4 weeks. It was amazing. What a fun way to spend the Summer.

In 2018, I am teaching yoga in Manhattan Youth’s aftershcool program, as well as for HOSH yoga studio in Greenpoint.

I am available for private coachings to prep for auditions. I can work with both kids and adults at all levels of experience.
